President: Fathi Al-Share, PE
Fathi is a Project Engineer at Shoemaker & Haaland Professional Engineers in Coralville, Iowa. He graduated from University of Illinois Chicago in 2018 with a BS in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering emphasis) and from Iowa State University in 2020 with a MS in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering specialization). Active in ASCE as a student and was a member of the committee organizing the ASCE Great Lakes Student Conference in 2018. He joined the ASCE Eastern Iowa Young Members Group as a board member in 2020. At Shoemaker & Haaland, he has primarily worked on large-scale industrial facilities, designing steel and concrete structures, and designing different types of foundations. He enjoys playing soccer, traveling, and watching movies and sports in his free time.
Vice President: Omar Siddiqui, EIT
Omar is a Structural Engineer at Shoemaker & Haaland Professional Engineers in Coralville, Iowa. He graduated from the American University of Sharjah in 2016 with a BS in Civil Engineering and from Iowa State University in 2019 with a MEng in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering specialization). At Shoemaker & Haaland, he has worked on industrial facilities design, steel platform and monorail design, and various types of foundation design. In his free time, Omar likes to travel and visit new places, play racket sports like badminton, tennis, and pickleball, and support his favorite Premier League football team - Manchester City!
Treasurer: Rachel Nardone, PE
Rachel began her career in engineering as an intern for MMS Consultants from 2012-2018. Following graduation from the University of Iowa in 2019, she worked as an Engineer in Training in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex specializing in mixed-use commercial, multi-family residential, and large-scale industrial land development design and construction phase services. She returned to MMS in 2022 and earned her professional engineering license in 2023. While at MMS, Rachel has continued to build her expertise in land development engineering and project management, while broadening her experience to include single-family residential and water resources design. In her free time, she enjoys reading, watching movies and YouTube, and chasing after her young son, Oliver.
Past President: Kelly Wollner, EIT
Kelly is a civil engineer working on the transportation team at Foth. She graduated from the University of Iowa in 2018 with a BS in Civil Engineering. She has been involved with ASCE since her freshman year at college. Kelly primarily works on roadway reconstruction projects and focus mainly on the stormwater, sanitary and watermain design. She spends a lot of her free time playing volleyball (almost every night of the week). If she isn’t playing volleyball, she is traveling, working on her house, building Lego, or hanging out with her two cats.
Secretary: Jonah Meyer, EIT
Jonah graduated from Michigan Technological University in 2022 with a BSE in Environmental Engineering and he became a member of ASCE in 2024. He works for Foth I&E in roadway rehabilitation and reconstruction, primarily focusing on roadway geometric design and drafting. Jonah plans on taking his Civil-Transportation PE Exam in early 2025. In his free time, he is a Lieutenant in the Iowa National Guard in a combat engineering unit focusing on supporting infantry operations. He likes to fish, hunt, camp, hike, and travel when possible.

Golf Chair: Scott Blondin, EIT
Scott is a civil engineer with Shive-Hattery in Cedar Rapids. He graduated from the University of Iowa in May 2023 with a BSE in Civil Engineering. Scott’s professional experience include site development across various sectors and locations across the United States. Scott passed his PE exam this past June and is working on gaining experience to become a professional engineer. In his free time, he enjoys watching football, traveling, and spending time with friends.
